We've been lucky enough to work with some really interesting and unique venues across the North East of England and are often asked by clients to reccommend suitable venues for their events. Here are some of our personal favourites...

Ellingham Hall
Ellingham Hall was lovingly restored over a ten year period and offers luxury accommodation for up to 30 guests. The Hall is licensed for civil weddings in the beautiful, mahogany panelled dining room with up to 100 people seated at the ceremony in the dining room and others in the adjoining drawing room.

Suitable for: Weddings, large dinner parties, conferences and corporate away days.
Capacity: Sleeps 30. Sit-down dinners for up to 120. Corporate events for 200+.

Bamburgh Castle
Bamburgh Castle stands proudly overlooking the island of Lindisfarne, dominating the surrounding area. Used in many historical films and television programming, Bamburgh Castle can now provide a unique backdrop for your special day. Bamburgh Castle is licensed for civil weddings and marquee reception for up to 150 guests.

Tynemouth Priory
The Priory ruins and the Castle are on a headland overlooking the Northumbrian coast and River Tyne estuary and offer a dramatic and romantic location. Today the Priory is more willing to admit guests than it was in the 16th Century as the grounds are available as a spectacular setting for marquee receptions for up to 200 guests. Holding your wedding reception at Tynemouth Priory and Castle truly allows you to be King and Queen of your own castle for the day with huge potential for spectacular lighting around the castle ruins or create a perfect finale to your special day with a breathtaking firework display.

Art Works Galleries
Situated a stone's throw away from the Newcastle Quayside and under 5 minutes from the city centre, The Art Works Galleries is the North East's largest single floor art gallery and a new and unique venue for event hire The Art Works Galleries is available for hire on a whole or separate gallery basis.
Location: Stepney Bank, Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 2NP
Suitable for: There are five separate areas within the venue, including a courtyard, which is perfect for evening and summer entertaining and extensive open gallery spaces suitable for high profile corporate events, canapé parties or simply corporate dinners.
Capacity: Up to 270 (possibly more, contact for details).

Stereo Bar
Award-winning bar situated on Newcastle's Quayside with fantastic views over the Millennium Bridge, The Sage and The Baltic.
Location: Sandgate, Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne
Suitable for: Various different parts of the venue can be split up into Private areas to cater for different numbers and groups.
Capacity: Capacity of entire venue is 550, with a large terrace and two smoking balconies. Below – small private area for smaller groups (up to 40 guests). Main Bar – capacity 140 guests.

Tokyo Bar
Tokyo give you the option to design your own party, down to the last fine detail. Decor, Music, Food and Drink. This multi-layered site set on 4 floors includes a main bar on the ground floor, a first floor bar and roof terrace and a basement bar.

Suitable for: Small intimate meetings up to large, lavish parties. Over 18s only.
Capacity: Various rooms, up to 150.

The Other Rooms
Adjoined to Newcastle's legendary nightclub, Digital, and split over tow levels, The Other Rooms is a great venue for evening parties.

Suitable for: Larger corporate and private parties.
Capacity: Downstairs holds 90, both floors fits around 200.

Coastal Retreats
A refreshingly different,privately owned 5 star graded, luxury self catering holiday cottage collection, with contemporary interiors, in perfect coastal locations around Beadnell, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Tughall Steads, Northumberland.
Location: many, across Northumberland coast.
Suitable for: Private dinner parties, picnic hampers and self-catering dishes.
Capacity: 6-12 depending on venue.

The CastleGate
The CastleGate is a unique and impressive facility near the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne. It was built in 1902 to generate the power for the tram network in Newcastle and Gateshead. It is now an inspiring venue with a great, central location.

Northern Print Gallery
An award-winning building described as ‘stunningly beautiful’ offering a stylish and contemporary venue for intimate events. The high quality exhibition programme provides a talking point for all and we are happy to work with you to include the opportunity to make a print to ensure your event is uniquely memorable.
Location: Situated in the heart of Newcastle’s vibrant cultural quarter, Ouseburn’ - Stepney Bank, Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 2NP
Suitable for: Drinks and canapé receptions. Corporate events and private parties with a creative slant, with options to include printmaking demos / classes, exclusive artist presentations and private viewings.
